Tezenis VE (9-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fourteenth ranked Givova Napoli on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Givova Napoli 67-57. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Tezenis VE. The game was mostly controlled by Givova Napoli. Tezenis VE managed to win fourth quarter 16-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Tezenis VE 43-28 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. American forward DeMon Brooks (201-92, college: Davidson) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The former international power forward David Brkic (210-82, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Givova Napoli players scored in double figures. Nigerian-American point guard Michael Umeh (188-84, college: UNLV) produced 22 points and naturalized Albanian swingman Klaudio Ndoja (201-85) added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Givova Napoli (4-6) moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Forli and Sigma BRC. Tezenis VE at the other side still keeps top position with one game lost. Givova Napoli is looking forward to face higher ranked Lighthouse TR (#9) in Trapani in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tezenis VE will play at home against Fileni BPA Jesi (#15) and is hoping to win this game.
