Regular Season Round 9: Stelmet ZG - Energa Czarni 79-70

There was no surprise in Zielona Gora where 7th ranked Energa Czarni (4-5) was defeated by fifth ranked Stelmet (6-3) 79-70 on Sunday. Energa Czarni was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 24-11 charge of Stelmet, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was international center Adam Hrycaniuk (206-84, college: Cincinnati, agency: Alti Sport) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. American-Georgian swingman Quinton Hosley (201-84, college: Fresno St.) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Kacper Borowski (205-94) who recorded 16 points and American guard Kyle Shiloh (188-85, college: Nevada) added 8 points and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Stelmet moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Rosa Radom. Loser Energa Czarni dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Stelmet will face Stabill Jezioro (#11) in Tarnobrzeg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Energa Czarni will play on the road against Anwil in Wloclawek and hope to win that game.
