The game in Findon was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Kings (5-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Adelaide 36ers (3-7). Kings managed to secure a 7-point victory 90-83 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 29-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Adelaide 36ers were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American swingman Josh Childress (203-83, college: Stanford) who scored 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import point guard Kendrick Perry (183-92, college: Youngstown St.) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Kings players scored in double figures. American point guard Jamar Wilson (185-84, college: Albany) produced 24 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and international power forward Anthony Petrie (203-83) added 4 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Kings maintains fifth position with 5-5 record. Adelaide 36ers lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with seven games lost. Kings will face league's leader New Zealand Breakers in Auckland in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Adelaide 36ers will play on the road against Cairns Taipans (#3) and hope to win that game.
