Solna Vikings can celebrate finally their first win this season after eight consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat 08 Stockholm (2-7) 54-46. It looked good early as 08 Stockholm took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Solna Vikings had a 20-15 second period charge getting the lead and 08 Stockholm was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 46-54. Solna Vikings held 08 Stockholm to an opponent 23.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 28.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded 08 Stockholm 48-35 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for forward Line Goransson (182-95) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds. Swingman Katarina Milenkovic (182-91) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Karolina Mindell Kidanu (178-88) answered with 10 points and 8 rebounds and forward Cajsa Uhrstrom (178-99) added 11 points in the effort for 08 Stockholm. 08 Stockholm's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Solna Vikings (1-8) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with Akropol. It was 08 Stockholm's seventh loss in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with seven games lost. Solna Vikings will play against higher ranked Sallen (#3) in Uppsala in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. 08 Stockholm will play at home against Akropol (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
