Regular Season Round 9: Brahe Basket - Malbas 60-95

Basketettan top team - Malbas (9-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Brahe Basket (1-7) in Huskvarna 95-60. The game was mostly controlled by Malbas. Brahe Basket was better in third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Malbas forced 21 Brahe Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 59-29 including a 24-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for Lithuanian power forward Tadas Kvederavicius (200-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Jonathan Peleg (191-94) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Malbas players scored in double figures. point guard Rami Ghanem (183-93) answered with 17 points and guard Robin Alm (184-93) added 13 points in the effort for Brahe Basket. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Malbas have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place in South with 9-1 record. Brahe Basket lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with seven games lost. Malbas will have a break next round. Brahe Basket will play against Talje Knights (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
