Regular Season Round 9: Hapoel T-A - Maccabi Rishon 83-75

The game between second ranked Maccabi Rishon (6-3) and sixth ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (5-4) was the most important one in the last round on Monday night. Maccabi Rishon was defeated by Hapoel Tel-Aviv in a tough game in Tel-Aviv 75-83. Maccabi Rishon trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 23-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 75-83 at the end of the game. It was a good game for American Larry O'Bannon (192-83, college: Louisville, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Hapoel Tel-Aviv moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Hapoel Holon. Maccabi Rishon at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Ironi Nes-Ziona. Hapoel Tel-Aviv is looking forward to face higher ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (#3) in Nes Ziyona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Maccabi Rishon will play at home against Galil Gilboa and is hoping to win this game.
