Regular Season Round 8: Grindavik - Tindastoll 97-102

Very expected game when 9th ranked Grindavik (2-6) was defeated at home by second ranked Tindastoll (7-1) 102-97 on Monday. Tindastoll looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Darrel Lewis (192-76, college: Lincoln, MO, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording 45 points (!!!) and American guard Myron Dempsey (203-91, college: Paul Quinn) who added 27 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. International guard Olafur Olafsson (194-90) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Rodney Alexander (201-87, college: Oklahoma City) scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. Four Grindavik players scored in double figures. Tindastoll have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Tindastoll maintains second position with 7-1 record behind leader KR. Grindavik lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with six games lost. Tindastoll will face Snaefell (#8) in Stykkisholmur in the next round where they are favorite. Grindavik will play on the road against Keflavik and hope to win that game.
