Important game to mention about took place in Amsterdam. Third ranked CTO (5-5) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 3rd ranked Binnenland (5-6) 65-63 on Wednesday evening. Strangely Binnenland outrebounded CTO 49-33 including 21 on the offensive glass. They brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Janiek van Veen (173-95) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 steals and center Emese Hof (190-96) who added 5 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks during the contest. The best for the losing side was international center Rianne De Roos (191-89) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and American Tae'Lor Purdy (-91, college: Regis Univ., agency: Gamble Sports Management) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CTO maintains third position with 5-5 record having four points less than leader Lekdetec.nl, which they share with Den Helder. Defending champion Binnenland dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. CTO will play against league's second-placed Loon Lions in Landsmeer in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Binnenland will play at home against Grasshoppers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
