Regular Season Round 14: Liaoning H. - Guangsha L. 112-107

An interesting game for Liaoning Hunters (15-0) which hosted in Yingkou second-ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (11-3). Top-ranked Liaoning Hunters managed to get a 5-point victory 112-107. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Zhejiang Guangsha Lions. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 27-19. But Zhejiang Guangsha Lions won second period 27-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Liaoning Hunters made 23-of-27 charity shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Priority Sports) had a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Dejun Han (215-89) chipped in 23 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. American Jamaal Franklin (196-91, college: San Diego St.) responded with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Taiwanese guard Zhijie Lin (192-82) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four Liaoning Hunters and five Zhejiang Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. Liaoning Hunters have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-0 record. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions at the other side keep the second place with three games lost. They share the position with Beijing Ducks and Guangdong ST. Liaoning Hunters will play against Beijing Ducks (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play against TianJin Steel in Tianjin and hope to get back on the winning track.
