Regular Season Round 14: Bayi R. - Jiangsu TX 106-82

Everything could happen in Ningbo at the game between two tied teams. Both seventeenth ranked Bayi Rockets and 19th ranked Jiangsu TX had identical 2-11 record. This time Bayi Rockets used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Jiangsu 106-82 on Wednesday night. The game was mostly controlled by Bayi Rockets. Jiangsu TX was better in third quarter 31-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bayi Rockets dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu TX's 44. They outrebounded Jiangsu TX 40-20 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Yuchen Zou (197-96) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds. International swingman Bo Zhang (199-89) contributed with 27 points for the winners. Five Bayi Rockets players scored in double figures. Bayi Rockets' coach Chang Bin Adijan felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Will McDonald (211-79, college: S.Florida) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Zhuang Ma (191-85) added 19 points in the effort for Jiangsu TX. Bayi Rockets (3-11) moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Sichuan BW and Chongqing FD. Loser Jiangsu TX dropped to the bottom position with 12 games lost. Bayi Rockets will face higher ranked Jiangsu Dragons (#14) in Nanjing in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Jiangsu TX will play on the road against Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#15) in Hangzhou and hope to win that game.
