Bottom-ranked Nitra managed to get a second victory, breaking the six-game losing streak on Wednesday night. This time they won against fifth-ranked Handlova 72-59. The game was mostly controlled by Nitra. Handlova managed to win second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Handlova 36-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Nitra will meet at home higher ranked Karlovka (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Handlova will play against Nova Ves and hope to secure a win.
