Regular Season Round 18: Nova Ves - B.Bystrica 66-75

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Nova Ves (4-14) were defeated at home by seventh ranked SKP Banska Bystrica (7-10) 75-66. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Nova Ves won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for Cameroonian forward Gaston Moliva (202-85, college: Richmond) who led his team to a victory with 12 points and 9 rebounds. International guard Richard Korner (197-90) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Stan Brown (204-90, college: Lamar) replied with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Montenegrin point guard Goran Bulatovic (186-88) added 15 points and 5 assists in the effort for Nova Ves. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SKP Banska Bystrica moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Levice. Nova Ves lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. SKP Banska Bystrica's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Rieker KN in Komarno and it may be quite challenging game. Nova Ves will play at home against Handlova (#5) and hope to win that game.
