We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 10th ranked 08 Stockholm (2-8) lost at home to eleventh ranked Akropol (2-8) 59-53 on Wednesday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 21-12. But 08 Stockholm won second period 13-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Serbian guard Jovana Ciric (173-83) notched 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and point guard Nina Baresso (170-75) supported her with 4 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 8 points and 10 rebounds by forward Senait Ghebremeskel (186-95) did not help to save the game for 08 Stockholm. Swingman Emelie Enjebo (180-92) added 14 points for lost side. 08 Stockholm's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Akropol moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 08. 08 Stockholm lost eighth consecutive game. Akropol will meet bottom-ranked Solna Vikings (#12) on the road in the next round. 08 Stockholm will play against Sallen in Uppsala and hope to secure a win.
