The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Grodno: Olimpia GrGAU (#3) and Victoria (#6). Olimpia GrGAU (6-2) smashed visiting Victoria (1-6) by 60 points 109-49. The game without a history. Olimpia GrGAU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Victoria to just 7 points in second quarter. Olimpia GrGAU dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Victoria's 30 and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Olimpia GrGAU forced 26 Victoria turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Victoria's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Olimpia GrGAU made 13 blocks. Maryia Rashchenia (185-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Forward Anna Tsarevich (178-95) contributed with 19 points, 5 assists and 4 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Olimpia GrGAU players scored in double figures. Tatsiana Khadzko (175-96) replied with 10 points and 5 rebounds and forward Anastasiya Haryna (188-94) added 10 points in the effort for Victoria. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olimpia GrGAU maintains third position with 6-2 record behind leader Gorizont. Victoria lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
