An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Reykjavik. Leader KR faced 3rd placed Stjarnan. Host KR (9-0) defeated guests from Stjarnan (5-4) 103-91. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Stjarnan. The hosts trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 103-91. KR outrebounded Stjarnan 55-34 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Pavel Ermolinskij (202-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. Five KR players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jarrid Frye (196-85, college: Sacred Heart) who recorded 28 points and 7 rebounds and international point guard Justin Shouse (181-81, college: Mercyhurst) added 16 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals respectively. KR have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 9-0 record. Stjarnan at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. KR are looking forward to face Thor Thorl (#5) in Thorlakshofn in the next round. Stjarnan will play at home against Njardvik and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
