The game with biggest result difference took place in Sauoarkrokur. Local Tindastoll (8-1) outscored 8th ranked Snaefell (4-5) 104-77 on Thursday night. The game without a history. Tindastoll led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Snaefell's 46. Tindastoll forced 22 Snaefell turnovers and outrebounded them 51-38 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. American guard Myron Dempsey (203-91, college: Paul Quinn) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and the former international guard Darrel Lewis (192-76, college: Lincoln, MO, agency: Two Points) chipped in 12 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Tindastoll players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Sigurdur Thorvaldsson (201-80) with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized American guard Austin Bracey (190-90) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Tindastoll. Newly promoted Tindastoll maintains second place with 8-1 record behind leader KR. Loser Snaefell keeps the eighth position with five games lost. Tindastoll will meet Haukar (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Snaefell will play against Keflavik (#4) and hope to secure a win.
