Regular Season Round 19: Halc.Rojos - Soles 79-64

Date: December 4, 2014
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Soles (14-5) in Veracruz on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by second ranked Halcones Rojos (13-3) 79-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Soles. Halcones Rojos dominated on the defensive end, holding Soles to just 6 points in second quarter. It was a great evening for American forward Devin Ebanks (206-89, college: W.Virginia, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). International guard Francisco Cruz (190-89, college: Wyoming) helped adding 16 points. At the losing side Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Zach Graham (198-89, college: Mississippi) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Halcones Rojos have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-3 record behind leader Soles. Soles at the other side still keep top position with five games lost. Halcones Rojos are again looking forward to face league's leader Soles in Mexicali in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Soles will have a break next round.
