Second Stage Round 4: Liaoning - Henan 85-60

Rather predictable result when first ranked Liaoning Hengye (5-7) rolled over 4th ranked Henan (1-11) in Anshan 85-60 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Liaoning Hengye. Henan was better in fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Liaoning Hengye dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Henan's 30 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Liaoning Hengye forced 24 Henan turnovers and outrebounded them 36-24 including 17 on the offensive glass. Quite impressive performance for center MingXiu Hu (191-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Jiamei Liang (182-92) contributed with 20 points and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Jie Sun (183-91) replied with 24 points and the former international forward Xiaoli Chen (193-82) added 12 points in the effort for Henan. Liaoning Hengye maintains first position in Places 9-12 with 5-7 record. Newly promoted Henan keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. Liaoning Hengye will face league's second-placed Whale in Sichuan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Henan will play at home against Zhejiang Far East and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
