Regular Season Round 12: Valga Kalev - TU/Rock 72-89

Alexela KML top team - TU/Rock (11-5) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they beat eighth ranked Valga Kalev (1-6) 89-72. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-72. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Valmo Kriisa (190-74) who scored 23 points. Lithuanian center Karolis Petrukonis (212-87, college: Clemson) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. TU/Rock's coach Gert Kullamae used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian center Jurijs Aleksejevs (202-85) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and Latvian guard Kalvis Krumins (185-90) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively. TU/Rock have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-5 record. Valga Kalev lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with six games lost. They share the position with Audentese/N.. TU/Rock will meet at home league's second-placed Kalev/Cramo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Valga Kalev will play against TTU (#6) and hope to win that game.
