Regular Season Round 9: Rubon - Tsmoki III 120-56

The game with biggest result difference took place in Vitebsk. Local Rubon (6-2) outscored 9th ranked Tsmoki III (1-7) 120-56 on Friday night. The game without a history. Rubon led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 90 of its points in the paint compared to Tsmoki III's 36. Rubon forced 47 Tsmoki III turnovers and outrebounded them 44-27 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Tsmoki III's players. Tsmoki III was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Maksim Lyutych (200-97) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Ivan Aladko (192-95, agency: Mike Diesel) chipped in 16 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Five Rubon players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Anton Zaretski (188-98) who recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds and guard Vlad Mikulskiy (188-98) added 13 points and 5 steals respectively. Tsmoki III's coach gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Rubon. They maintain fourth place with 6-2 record. Newly promoted Tsmoki III dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. Rubon will face league's leader GOCOR-Sozh in Gomel in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tsmoki III will play at home against the league's second-placed Grodno-93 (#2) and hope to win that game.
