There was a small surprise in Jinjiang where nineteenth ranked Fujian (3-12) outscored 17th ranked Sichuan BW (3-12) 119-100. Fujian dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Sichuan BW's 62. Fujian had a 34-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Sichuan BW helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American point guard John Lucas III (180-82, college: Oklahoma St.) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 8 assists.
