Regular Season Round 10: Rosa Radom - Asseco 80-72

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Rosa (7-3) won against 7th ranked Asseco (5-5) in Radom 80-72 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 80-72. Strangely Asseco outrebounded Rosa 39-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 52.9 percentage. Quite impressive performance for international point guard Kamil Laczynski (183-89) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. The former international Robert Witka (205-81) contributed with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Rosa players scored in double figures. Rosa's coach Wojciech Kaminski used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American point guard A.J. Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) replied with 21 points and the former international forward Piotr Szczotka (196-81, agency: Alti Sport) added 11 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Asseco. Rosa maintains fourth position with 7-3 record, which they share with Stelmet ZG. Loser Asseco dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. Rosa will face Wilki Morskie (#13) in Szczecin in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Asseco will play at home against Polpharma (#11) and hope to win that game.
