Regular Season Round 10: Angers - Union Hainaut 89-69

Very predictable result when sixth ranked Angers (6-3) smashed at home 13th ranked Union Hainaut (2-8) 89-69 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Angers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Union Hainaut's players. American forward Rebecca Tobin (195-88, college: Arizona St.) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Czech forward Romana Hejdova (184-88) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Four Angers players scored in double figures. Angers' coach David Girandiere used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Senegalese power forward Astou Traore (182-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds and DR Congolese power forward Pauline Akonga Nsimbo (188-82, agency: LBM Management) added 15 points and 14 rebounds respectively for lost side. Angers have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Villeneuve. Union Hainaut lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Angers will meet at home Villeneuve D'Ascq (#6) in the next round. Union Hainaut will play against Lattes Montpellier (#3) and hope to secure a win.
