Regular Season Round 12: Basket Pila - Notec 77-80

Ninth-ranked Basket Pila (3-7) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Notec (9-1). The visitors from Inowroclaw managed to secure only three-point victory 80-77. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 10-point deficit before their 24-11 run, which allowed them to win the game. Notec dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Basket Pila's 18. Notec forced 21 Basket Pila turnovers and outrebounded them 41-20 including a 19-0 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Mikolaj Grod (194-89) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 7 rebounds and center Dawid Slupinski (206-92) who added 12 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Four Notec players scored in double figures. Notec's coach Jacek Stajszczak allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was forward Lukasz Krzeminski (201-80) with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Grzegorz Przewozniak (191-82) scored 21 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Notec have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 9-1 record. Basket Pila lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Tczew. Notec will play against KUKS Koszalin (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Basket Pila will play against Trefl II Sopot and hopes to get back on the winning track.
