There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Yokohama BC (4-15) was rolled over at home by eleventh ranked Gunma (3-14) 96-63. The game without a history. Gunma led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Yokohama BC's 34 and made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Yokohama BC 44-28 including a 38-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Gunma players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. The game was dominated by American players. It was a very good performance for power forward Daniel Northern (206-85, college: Tenn Tech, agency: R.H.Consultancy) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 18 rebounds.
