There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Niigata Albirex (10-9) beat at home 6th ranked Takamatsu FA (7-12) 101-83. The game without a history. Niigata Albirex led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Niigata Albirex players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Takamatsu FA's players. The game was dominated by American players. It was a very good performance for forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Patrick Sullivan (206-88, college: SE Louisiana, agency: Two Points) contributed with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) answered with 28 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Justin Watts (196-90, college: N.Carolina) added 27 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Takamatsu FA. Five Niigata Albirex and four Takamatsu FA players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Niigata Albirex moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Aomori Watts. Takamatsu FA lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 12 games lost. Niigata Albirex's next round opponent will be again Takamatsu FA (#6) at home.
