An interesting game where Tortona (#8) beat host Omegna (#6) 93-81 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Tortona. Omegna managed to win third quarter 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Tortona won last quarter 28-18. Tortona outrebounded Omegna 47-18 including a 15-1 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Omegna's coach Alessandro Magro rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tortona (6-5) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Chieti. Loser Omegna dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Tortona will meet at home Piacentina (#15) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Omegna will play against Roseto (#16) and hope to secure a win.
