BJ League top team - Kyoto Hannar. (17-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat seventh ranked Oita Heat Devils (6-11) 68-53. It looked good early as Oita Heat Devils took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kyoto Hannar. had a 20-10 second period charge getting the lead and Oita Heat Devils were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 53-68. Kyoto Hannar. made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a quality performance for forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Forward David Palmer (201-82, college: S.Utah) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Kyoto Hannar.'s coach Honoo Hamaguchi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Kellen Thornton (201-88, college: Tennessee St., agency: David Lee services) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and center Todd O'Brien (213-89, college: UAB) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Oita Heat Devils in the defeat. Kyoto Hannar. have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-2 record. Oita Heat Devils lost third consecutive game.
