Regular Season Round 12: Wisla Krakow - AZS AGH Alstom 57-70

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Krakow: AZS AGH Alstom (#2) and Wisla Krakow (#6). Wisla Krakow was defeated at home 57-70 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. AZS AGH Alstom forced 25 Wisla Krakow turnovers. The winners were led by Tomasz Orlicki (188-89) who scored that evening 15 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and guard Tomasz Zych (185-87) supported him with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Even 25 points by guard Jakub Krawczyk (191-91) did not help to save the game for Wisla Krakow. Jakub Zaczek (202-96) added 8 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AZS AGH Alstom (8-0) have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group B leader. Wisla Krakow lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with six games lost. They share the position with Polonia W-wa and MKS Skierniew.. AZS AGH Alstom will meet at home AZS UMCS (#4) in the next round. Wisla Krakow will play against LKS Lodz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
