Regular Season Round 12: FoA - HyPo 71-68

A very interesting game took place in Forssa. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked HyPo (5-6) to ninth ranked Forssan Alku (3-9) 71-68 on Saturday evening. HyPo was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 26-16 charge of Forssan Alku, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Sarah Hansen (178-91, college: FGCU) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds. The other American import guard Brittany Kennedy (170, college: FGCU) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier, agency: Regeneracom Sports) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 22 rebounds and Moona Hamalainen (187-95) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively. HyPo's coach Tero Niskanen rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Forssan Alku moved-up to eighth place, which they share with ViVe. HyPo lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Forssan Alku's next round opponent will be ViVe (#8) in Vimpeli.
