Everything went according to plan when sixteenth ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (4-7) outscored at home bottom-ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (1-10) 90-59 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Pau-Lacq-Orthez. SO Maritime Boulogne was better in fourth quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pau-Lacq-Orthez dominated on the defensive end, holding SO Maritime Boulogne to just 7 points in first quarter. Pau-Lacq-Orthez moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Chalons-Reims and Orleans. SO Maritime Boulogne lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will face higher ranked Le Mans (#12) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SO Maritime Boulogne will play against SPO Rouen (#7) and hope to win that game.
