A very interesting game took place in Napoli. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Lucca (6-5) to ninth ranked Napoli (5-6) 56-54 on Sunday evening. It looked good early as Lucca took an 18-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Napoli took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 2 points. They also forced 19 Lucca turnovers. American center Victoria Macaulay (193-90, college: Temple, agency: Two Points) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 7 rebounds. International guard Sara Bocchetti (175-93) contributed with 19 points for the winners. International swingman Martina Crippa (178-89, agency: Players Group) answered with 20 points and 6 steals and Bosnian center Nikolina Milic (191-94, agency: LBM Management) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Lucca. Napoli moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Battipaglia. Lucca at the other side keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Napoli's next round opponent will be Lavezzini PR (#10) in Parma.
