Regular Season Round 10: Torun - Wilki Morskie 87-90

A very interesting game took place in Torun. It ended with only three-point home defeat of higher ranked Twarde Pierniki (3-7) to fifteenth ranked Wilki Morskie (3-7) 90-87 in the fight for the tenth place. Twarde Pierniki was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 24-17 charge of Wilki Morskie, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Twarde Pierniki's 26. Wilki Morskie shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American center Darrell Harris (205-84, college: Rhode Island) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Five Wilki Morskie and four Twarde Pierniki players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Wilki Morskie moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Twarde Pierniki. Twarde Pierniki lost fourth consecutive game. Wilki Morskie's next round opponent will be higher ranked Rosa (#4) in Radom and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
