No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Anagenisi (5-6) smashed on the road bottom-ranked Panathlitikos (1-10) 79-46 on Sunday. They outrebounded Panathlitikos 47-26 including a 38-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international guard Nafsika Stavridou (182-86) scored 26 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Fedra Skiadopoulou (192-90) chipped in 10 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. Five Anagenisi players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Tia Gibbs (176, college: Louisville) responded with 25 points (made all of her eight free throws) and guard Efi Kazantzidou (177-84) scored 9 points. Panathlitikos' coach Simos Syropoulos gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Anagenisi moved-up to fifth place. Panathlitikos lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Anagenisi will meet at home higher ranked PAOK (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Panathlitikos will play against the league's leader Proteas (#1) in Voula and hope to win that game.
