Regular Season Round 11: Toyota B SR - Denso Iris 65-86

Leader Denso Iris delivered the eighth win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked Toyota B SR (5-5) 86-65 in Aichi. The game was mostly controlled by Denso Iris. Toyota B SR managed to win third quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Denso Iris had a 29-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Denso Iris especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 75.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was international guard Minami Iju (168-90) who scored 20 points and 7 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Nozomi Matsuzawa (178-89) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and guard Yui Kawahara (169-91) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Denso Iris maintains first place with 8-2 record, which they share with Fujitsu RW and JX-Eneos S. Toyota B SR at the other side keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Denso Iris is looking forward to face Niigata R. (#10) in Tokyo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toyota B SR will play on the road against Chanson V-M in Shizuoka and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
