An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kariya. Leader Aishin Sea Horses faced 3rd placed Dragonflies. Host Aishin Sea Horses (16-0) defeated guests from Hiroshima (9-7) 66-56. Dragonflies were ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 43-26 second half run of Aishin Sea Horses. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) who led the winners and scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. International swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. International power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (206-85) came up with 9 points and 13 rebounds and American power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Dragonflies in the defeat. Aishin Sea Horses have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-0 record. Dragonflies lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keep the third position with seven games lost. Aishin Sea Horses' next round opponent will be Kumamoto V. (#6) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Dragonflies will play against Wakayama T. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
