Quite upsetting was Tadamon's (#5) home defeat in a game versus UBA who edged hosts 65-62. Tadamon was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. They outrebounded Tadamon 50-30 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when UBA made 8 blocks. American guard Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent St.) fired 22 points and 7 assists for the winners. International power forward Ali Kanaan (207-85, college: Mass.-Lowell) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. Four UBA players scored in double figures. International forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: N.Carolina) produced 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks and Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. UBA will meet at home Al Moutahed (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tadamon will play against Hoops Club in Beirut and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
