Regular Season Round 11: Lighthouse TR - Givova Napoli 85-82

A very close game took place in Trapani between Lighthouse TR and Givova Napoli. Ninth ranked Lighthouse TR (6-5) got a very close home victory over 11th ranked Givova Napoli (4-7). Lighthouse TR managed to escape with a 3-point win 85-82 on Sunday evening. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-82. It was a great shooting night for Lighthouse TR especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU) who led the winners and scored 28 points. Point guard Guido Meini (188-79) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Lighthouse TR players scored in double figures. The former international power forward David Brkic (210-82, agency: Interperformances) came up with 32 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized American guard Jarrius Jackson (183-85, college: Texas Tech) added 19 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Givova Napoli in the defeat. Lighthouse TR moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Trieste and Agrigento. Loser Givova Napoli dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. They share it with Forli and Fileni BPA Jesi. Lighthouse TR will meet Angelico Biella (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Givova Napoli will play against Fileni BPA Jesi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
