Regular Season Round 16: Fujian QB - Chongqing FD 123-110

Everything could happen in Jinjiang at the game between two tied teams. Both sixteenth ranked Fujian and 18th ranked Chongqing FD had identical 3-12 record. This time Fujian used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Guangzhou 123-110. The game was mostly controlled by Fujian. Chongqing FD was better in fourth quarter 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fujian dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Chongqing FD's 56. They outrebounded Chongqing FD 42-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. Fujian players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Chongqing FD's players. Worth to mention a great performance of international Zhelin Wang (215-94) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Linjian Linjian (198-93) contributed with 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Fujian's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma, agency: Interperformances) replied with 50 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 9 assists and center MingHao Zhang (209-93) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Chongqing FD. Five Fujian and four Chongqing FD players scored in double figures. Fujian maintains sixteenth position with 4-12 record. Newly promoted Chongqing FD dropped to the seventeenth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Sichuan BW and Bayi R.. Fujian will play against higher ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (#7) in Taiyuan in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Chongqing FD will play on the road against Foshan (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
