There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Cagliari A. (4-5) lost on the road to seventh ranked Albino (4-6) 57-51 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 57-51. Albino dominated on the defensive end, holding Cagliari A. to just 7 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Cagliari A. 46-30 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Laura Fumagalli (178-85) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Maria Locatelli (182-91) contributed with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Albino's coach Nazareno Lombardi used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Sabrina Pacilio (176-76) answered with 15 points and 9 rebounds and Slovenian power forward Ana Ljubenovic (185-88) added 12 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Cagliari A.Albino moved-up to sixth place in A2.
