The game between second ranked Familia Schio (9-2) and fourth ranked Umbertide (8-3) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Familia Schio was defeated by Umbertide in Umbertide 83-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Familia Schio. The game was mostly controlled by Umbertide. Familia Schio managed to win third quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American forward Jillian Robbins (190-84, college: Tulsa, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 20 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). The former international forward Laura Macchi (188-79) responded with 10 points and 8 rebounds and American Jolene Anderson (175-86, college: Wisconsin) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Familia Schio's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Umbertide have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Defending champion Familia Schio keeps the second position with two games lost. Umbertide are looking forward to face Lucca (#6) on the road in the next round. Familia Schio will play against San Martino (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
