The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Bulleen Boomers' (7-5) road victory over 5th ranked Canberra Capitals (4-6) 74-59 on Sunday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Bulleen Boomers's pressure prevailed and they won that period 26-13 extending their advantage to 15 points. Canberra Capitals were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. International guard Rebecca Allen (185-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 4 assists. The former international swingman Tess Madgen (180-90) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. International center Abby Bishop (189-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and international guard Stephanie Talbot (188-94) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Canberra Capitals. Bulleen Boomers have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Canberra Capitals at the other side keep the fifth position with six games lost. Bulleen Boomers will face league's leader Bendigo Spirit at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Canberra Capitals will play against the league's second-placed Townsville Fire (#2) and hope to win that game.
