Regular Season Round 10: Denain - Monaco 75-63

The most important game in the last round took place in Denain between third ranked Monaco (7-2) and fifth ranked Denain Voltaire (7-3) on Tuesday night. Monaco was defeated by Denain Voltaire on the road 63-75. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Monaco. Monaco was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 29-14 charge of Denain Voltaire, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Erroyl Bing (198-82, college: E.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import guard Jeb Ivey (190-80, college: Portland St.) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists for the winners. Denain Voltaire's coach Jean-Christophe Prat used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized Central African point guard Michael Mokongo (180-86) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American Quincy Taylor (196-82, college: UAB) added 14 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Monaco. Denain Voltaire have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Orchy. Newly promoted Monaco keeps the third position with two games lost. Denain Voltaire is looking forward to face Orchesien BC (#5) in Orchies in the next round. Monaco will play on the road against Souffelweyersheim and is hoping to win this game.
