Regular Season Round 10: Fos Ouest - Orchy 60-57

A very close game took place in Fos-sur-Mer between Fos Ouest and Orchesien BC. Fourteenth ranked Fos Ouest (3-7) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Orchesien BC (7-3). Fos Ouest managed to escape with a 3-point win 60-57 on Tuesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Orchesien BC. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Orchesien BC won fourth quarter 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fos Ouest forced 23 Orchesien BC turnovers. American Amadi McKenzie (201-86, college: Tenn Tech, agency: Three Eye Sports) notched 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Edouard Choquet (188-88) supported him with 11 points. Even 11 points and 9 rebounds by American guard Joshua Alexander (193-87, college: SF Austin) did not help to save the game for Orchesien BC. Guard Pierric Poupet (191-84) added 13 points and 4 assists for lost side. Fos Ouest moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with St Quentin and Souffel. Orchesien BC at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Denain. Fos Ouest will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Orchesien BC will play against Denain Voltaire (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
