Very predictable result when eighth ranked DongGuan Leopards (10-6) won against at home 15th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (5-12) 129-111 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 18 points. DongGuan Leopards shot 48 for 65 from the free-throw line, while Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank only scored nineteen points from the stripe. They outrebounded Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank 52-40 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Bobby Brown (188-84, college: CS Fullerton) nailed 39 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winning side and international power forward TongLin Sun (208-92) accounted for 26 points and 11 rebounds. American point guard Errick McCollum (185-88, college: Goshen) came up with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 12 rebounds and 7 assists and international center Dayu Zhang (212-91) added 23 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) respectively for Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank in the defeat. Five DongGuan Leopards and four Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's coach tested twelve players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for DongGuan Leopards. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Qingdao E. Loser Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank keeps the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. DongGuan Leopards will meet at home league's second-placed Zhejiang Guangsha Lions in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against Guandong Tigers (#3) in Dongguan and hope to secure a win.
