Regular Season Round 21: Soles - Gigantes 81-66

Everything went according to plan when second ranked Soles (15-7) defeated 12th ranked Gigantes (5-14) in Mexicali 81-66. The game was mostly controlled by Soles. Gigantes was better in third quarter 19-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Zach Graham (198-89, college: Mississippi) chipped in 19 points. Four Soles players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Sean Carter (205-88, college: Massachusetts) who recorded 22 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized American guard Michael Marzette (193-87, college: Holmes CC) added 14 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Soles maintains second place with 15-7 record behind leader Halc.Rojos. Gigantes lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Soles' next round opponent will be Pioneros (#4) in Cancun. Gigantes will play on the road against Gansos (#14) in Ciudad de Mexico and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
