Regular Season Round 2: Hoops - Tadamon 58-76

An interesting game was played in Beirut where Tadamon beat host Hoops Club with 18-point difference 76-58 on Friday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Tadamon. Hoops Club managed to win fourth quarter 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tadamon shot 19 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Hoops Club only scored three points from the stripe. International forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: N.Carolina) scored 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized American point guard Joey Accaoui (176-89, college: Vermont) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Tadamon players scored in double figures. American forward Matt Morgan (205-87, college: Winthrop) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Ali Mezher (182-94) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Tadamon will meet at home Al Riyadi in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Hoops Club will play against Al Moutahed (#8) in Tripoli and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
