Regular Season Round 20: Uppsala - Boras 89-83

There was a change at the Basketligan leadership position after last games. Round 20 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Boras Basket (10-4). They were defeated by fourth ranked Uppsala Basket (11-4) 89-83 on Friday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 47-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Uppsala Basket outrebounded Boras Basket 40-29 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Axel Nordstrom (193-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and American point guard Thomas Jackson (175-80, college: Butler, agency: 011 Sports) who added 17 points and 7 assists during the contest. Danish guard Adama Darboe (190-86) responded with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Finnish Samuel Haanpaa (203-86, agency: Blacktop Management) scored 21 points. Four Uppsala Basket and five Boras Basket players scored in double figures. Uppsala Basket keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Norrkoping and Sundsvall. Boras Basket at the other side dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. Boras Basket will play next round against LF Basket trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Uppsala Basket will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Sodertalje Kings on the road.
