Eredivisie top team - Leiden (11-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Rotterdam (5-9) 97-89. Rotterdam was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Leiden forced 22 Rotterdam turnovers. American forward Joe Willman (201-91, college: Bucknell) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the effort and international Worthy de Jong (194-88) supported him with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 32 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!) by guard Yannick Franke (194-96) did not help to save the game for Rotterdam. The former international center Robert Krabbendam (213-86, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Court Side) added 26 points and 12 rebounds for the guests. Five Leiden and four Rotterdam players scored in double figures. Leiden have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-2 record. Rotterdam at the other side keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. Leiden will play against Zwolle (#4) on the road in the next round. Rotterdam will have a break next round.
