Regular Season Round 7: Sant Adria - UCAM Jairis 69-64

Very expected game in Sant Adria de Besos where 10th ranked UCAM Jairis (1-6) was defeated by leader Sant Adria (7-0) 69-64 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 11 points at the halftime before their 47-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for power forward Marta Claret (185-92) who led her team to a victory scoring 12 points. Center Olga Ruano (191-88, agency: Regeneracom Sports) helped adding 12 points. Sant Adria's coach Jordi Vizcaino used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side power forward Isabel Perez (188-90) responded with 14 points and Vicky Robles (180-91) scored 16 points. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Sant Adria. They keep a position of Group B leader, which they share with Alcobendas. UCAM Jairis lost their fourth game in a row. UCAM Jairis at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth place with six games lost. Sant Adria will face Andratx (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. UCAM Jairis will play against ASEFA Estudiantes (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
